What's that, Furcadia?

Daiktana

This guy was wiggly. He made me wait to give him an interview, and then he was never around. Finally, I pinned him down to get all the info I needed for a good, clean, wholesome story about his dirty little projects.

Originally Daiktana started out doing small time crimes. The occasional bot here, the off-to-the-side Text client there. Petty things. Things that wouldn’t get him sent to Furcadia Prison, but would give him a few nights in the FurrySlammer.

That was, until the scores stopped giving him the thrill. The rush. He needed adrenaline. Craved the super-feeling from pulling off a well executed and flawlessly planned Furcadia Heist.

So was born FurcBack! FurcBack is a client that lets you find out if Furcadia is back online by checking to see if the required ports on Furc’s IP address are open. It has a shiny and sleek looking interface, (Best on Vista), and it is a useful tool that harks back to the days when Furcadia’s server crashed regularly.

Ahh, blissful memories.

The thrill from FurcBack! diminished quickly though. Daiktana, however, had moved on from his life of Furcadia Crime; he updated his last “Big Heist” regularly, but from that, he abstained.

Until Furcadia broke.

Furcadia broke big. Real big. So big that all the other proxies out there weren’t working. Daiktana returned to his shack of programming trinkets and began working on FurcBack!, terribly depressed at the lack of Proxies available.

He saw his old mask laying there on the workbench, and the devilish desire that is kindled only by executing an insidiously fiendish plan to bring about the downfall of others; though that is never the main or primary intention of such a plot.

He tossed FurcBack! aside, (it only took 7 seconds to fix anyway,) and immediately began to map out the inner workings of PawProxy.

Unfortunately, Daiktana was unprepared for the work. His code was messy, and faulty, and soon it became apparent that he needed to learn more. MOAR KNOWLEDGE, he randomly shouted at Furcadian pedestrians who would say, ‘hi’ to him in the mornings.

While being in a public “Beta”, PawProxy is still lacking in features. Daiktana is practicing with his rapier so that he can continually add new features, like Multiple Alt handling, Whisper Window Tabs, (PawTabs®?) and other such proxy-rich features.

After he was done talking to me he hopped on his black horse named Toronto and headed off into the Furry Sunset.
